Introduction
E-Commerce Web sites are dominating the World Wide Web in recent years. Different users across the
globe can access a single e-commerce Web site at the same time. The vendor sets up individual
merchant account to advertise the products. This enables the customers to purchase items and make
payments online. The Web site provides various models and designs of the products so that the
customers can choose the product that meets their requirements. The mode of payment over the
Internet provides a secured transaction between the customer and the vendor. Most of the product
oriented companies develop e-commerce Web sites for the customers to purchase items online.
Oriflame (www.oriflame.com), a Swedish cosmetics company has developed an
online shopping Web site for its customers to order cosmetics across the globe. It
provides a monthly cosmetics catalog listing the prices of the various cosmetic
products on its Web site, for the customers to choose the items and store it in a
shopping cart and make payments accordingly.
