Real Time Systems
Notes 2.6 Keywords
Discrete-time Signal: A discrete-time signal is a function that is defined only at a particular set of
values of time.
Radar: Radar is an acronym for Radio Detection and Ranging.
Radar System: The system consists of an Input/Output (I/O) subsystem that samples and digitizes
the echo signal from the radar and places the sampled values in a shared memory.
Real-time: The term real-time refers to systems in which the correctness of the system depends
not only on the logical result of computation, but also on the time at which the results are
produced.
Signal Processing: Signal processing is an area of systems engineering, electrical engineering
and applied mathematics that deals with operations on or analysis of signals, in either discrete
or continuous time.
