             following points:

             1. Are data suitable for the current investigation?
             2. Are data adequate for the current investigation?
             3. Are data reliable?

Task Amongst various methods of rounding, which one is best and why?

             Notes Editing of Data
The next logical step, after the collection of data, is the process of refining it for proper
utilisation. This process is known as editing. Editing of data includes the identification
and dropping of the unwanted information. In addition to this, steps are taken to complete
the left out information. Another aim of editing is to find out and rectify possible errors or
irregularities during the collection of data. Thus, the process of editing implies the scrutiny
of data in various ways. The process of editing of primary data can be divided into the
             following six stages:
             1. Deciphering

             2. Scrutiny for completeness
             3. Scrutiny for uniformity
             4. Scrutiny for consistency
             5. Scrutiny for accuracy

             6. Coding of data
