2.3.2 Project Infrastructure and Governance
AS 8000 defines Corporate Governance as “The system by which Entities are directed and
controlled”. The following diagram shows the scope of governance.

As you can see, a project infrastructure fits contentedly as a mechanism for managing project
governance. The infrastructure covers both “People and Structure” and “Process”. Good
governance is both a driver of the project infrastructure and an outcome of having a proper
project infrastructure.
