Introduction
The aim of social science research, like research in physical sciences, is to discover new facts or verify
and test old facts. It tries to understand the human behaviour and its interaction with the environment
and the social institutions. It tries to find out the causal connection between human activities and
natural laws governing them. Another purpose of social science research is to develop new scientific
tools, concepts and theories, which would facilitate reliable and valid study of human behaviour and
social life.
