Notes now have a company we can trust with all of our advertising needs. We recently wanted
to rebrand and were delighted with Adtrak’s new and fresh ideas. We have had a lot of
comments on our new logo and are confident that it will help us get noticed in such a busy
                                     industry.
                                     Question:

How has new logo helped Dodds in their growth?

                                   1.5 Summary

z In computer graphics, a bitmap or pixmap is a type of memory organization or image file
format used to store digital images.

z Vector graphics is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and
shapes or polygon(s), which are all based on mathematical equations, to represent images
                                       in computer graphics.
z In 3D computer graphics, vectorized surface representations are most common.
z Graphic Design is an interdisciplinary, problem-solving process which combines visual
sensitivity with skill and knowledge in areas of communications, technology and business.
z Graphic designers create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to
communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers.

z In image-based design, the images must transmit the entire message.
z In type-based design, what the words look like is as important as their meaning.
z Symbols and logos are special, highly condensed information forms or identifiers.
z A good graphic design process is planned around ensuring the client gets the highest
quality solution and service appropriate to their business, marketing or communication
                                       problem.

z Multimedia authoring tools provide the framework for organizing and editing the elements
                                       of a multimedia project.
