12.2.4 Converting a Page Formatted by a Table to One with Layers

Dreamweaver can convert a page formatted via a table to the one with layers. To do so, choose
Modify -> Convert -> Tables to Layer. Then uncheck Show Grid and Snap to Grid, if checked.
Then click on the OK button, and you will be back to a page with layers.

12.2.5 Tables within Layers

We can place tables within a Dreamweaver layer. To do this, follow the steps below:
1. Create a new layer.
2. Insert a table into the layer, with a few rows and columns, and put some text in them.

3. Preview this in the browser.
4. Save this page.
5. Convert it to one formatted by a table, and preview it.
6. Convert it back to layers.
