          The layers have various properties can be set as per the need of the user.

          12.3.1 Adjusting Properties

          We can adjust various properties of a layer using the Properties window.

          12.3.2 Aligning Layers


          Dragging the layers is a way to align them. Or you can set their positions in the properties dialog.
          It is possible to select several layers at the same time and set their properties.

          12.4 Adding Elements into Layers


          After creating a layer, we can add elements like text and images into it. Let us discuss how.

          12.4.1 Putting Text in a Layer

          To add text in your document,
          z    In Dreamweaver’s Design view, click in the page where you want to add text.
          z    Type the text you want.

          12.4.2 Inserting an Image in a Layer


          All web sites have a certain number of pages that allow you to improve their look, or just to add
          more visual information. To insert an image to a layer,
          z    Go to the Insert menu, and then select the Image option.

          z    Select an image that you wish to add
