13.4 Media Elements
We can insert multimedia elements like Flash animation, a sound and a video in our document
using simple steps in Dreamweaver. Let us discuss these steps below:
13.4.1 Inserting Media Elements
We can add a Flash movie or object, Quicklime or Shockwave movie, Java ActiveX control, or
other audio or video objects in a Dreamweaver document. For this just follow the steps below:
1. Choose the Insert bar -> Common category and click the Media button.
2. Select the Flash option for the type of object you want to insert.
3. In the Select File dialog box, select the Flash file you want to insert.
4. Click OK. An icon is displayed in your page.
5. Preview the Flash movie by clicking the Play button in the Property Inspector Panel.

13.4.2 Creating Flash Buttons
To create flash buttons, follow the steps below:
1. Open up Dreamweaver and place your cursor where you would like to insert the flash
button. You may prefer to use a table when inserting flash buttons. This will create an
even appearance on your page and you can better control the placement of the buttons.
2. Go to insert->Media->Flash Button.
