This explosion was almost composited onto the screen using CGI.

The figure 14.6 shows how Frank Torres performed the Turbine Man using a pneumatic ratchet rig
stunt in the series Pilot, Part-1. The same footage was used again by compositing the Expose series
employing CGI.
