The figure 7.1 depicts a window and a viewport.

Figure 7.1, illustrates the window coordinates, which include the logical geometry whereas viewport
coordinate include the visible geometry out of logical geometry. The sequence given is a common
sequence of the window limits. It shows the selection of visible geometry from the logical geometry. In
most of the graphic packages, the order of input is defined.
Viewport Definitions
A viewport is defined in screen coordinates (X, Y). A viewport can also be defined in the Interface
Coordinates. The benefit of defining it in an Interface coordinate is that the viewing transformation
relationship can be derived on this basis and can be applied to any screen and resolution.
