way for Windows 98 to setup new hardware for the computer with little or no human
intervention. After simply plugging in the latest hardware, Windows 98 interviews it,
checking to see what special settings it needs, and then Windows 98 automatically flips the

To install new devices, there is an Add New Hardware Wizard. To start this Wizard, Click
on the Start button and choose Settings >> Control Panel >> Add New Hardware. The wizard
starts and Windows 98 installs the new device by asking some questions.
