            •   Use of a combination of mechanisms will be more effective than reliance on a single one.
            •   Choice of mechanisms should be determined by the purpose, level and context of gathering
                and using student feedback.
            •   Issues of timing and frequency should be taken into account, especially with regard to the
                intended uses of the data.
            •   All involved, including students, should understand the purposes and the potential benefits of
                taking part in the process.
            •   Staff may require support (including training) in order to make the most of some mechanisms.
