Labour Laws




                    Notes          Collective Bargaining: Collective bargaining is the process in which working people, through
                                   their unions, negotiate contracts with their employers to determine their terms of employment,
                                   including pay, benefits, hours, leave, job health and safety policies, ways to balance work and
                                   family and more.
                                   Constitution: A body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a
                                   state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.
                                   Labour: A social class comprising those who do manual labor or work for wages.

                                   Labour Laws: Body of rulings pertaining to working people and their organizations, including
                                   trade unions and employee unions, enforced by government agencies.
                                   Labour  Relations: Labor relations encompasses  all the interchanges between  employers and
                                   employees
                                   Public Interest  Litigation: In Indian law, public  interest litigation  means litigation  for the
                                   protection of the public interest.

                                   Regulation: A rule or directive made and maintained by an authority.
                                   Social Justice: Social justice is defined as justice exercised within a society, particularly as it is
                                   exercised by and among the various social classes of that society.
                                   Writ Petition: A special request that the Court of Appeal grant immediate relief from a trial court
                                   order.
