                 and scientists saw the advantage of long distance networking. They began to connect with  Notes
                 ARPANET as well as to each other. Businesses and private individuals then started connecting
                 through the network of computers. Eventually the massive network of networks developed,
                 known as  Internet. Today,  no  individual, no corporation and no government owns the
                 Internet—it is owned, operated and maintained by all of those who use it.

                   (i) Go to a Computer Laboratory with internet connection facility.
                   (ii) Connect internet by understanding how a telephone number; a user’s name and a
                      password is fed into the computer for internet connection.
                         (a) Click the icon,  shortcut to Dial-up created at the desktop of the computer
                            shown in Figure 13.1.
