Notes 9.4 Summary
The “library filing system” they usually refer to the Dewey Decimal System. The other
forms of library filing system are the alpha numeric filing system or other filing systems
are provided by a software organizer.
The library schools in India have been training students in compiling both Classified
Catalogue and Dictionary Catalogue using the Classified Catalogue Code (CCC) and the
AACR2 respectively.
The National Library of Greece (Ethnike Bibliothiketes Ellados) is one of the richest
depositories of Byzantine musical manuscripts and is surpassed by its holdings in Greece
only by the multitude of manuscripts found in the monasteries of Mount Athos.
