Unit 7: Cloud Services Uses
7.1.3 Apple’s iCloud Application Notes
iCloud does more than store your content — it lets you access your photos, calendars, contacts,
documents and more, from whatever device you’re on. And it’s built into every new iOS device
and every new Mac.
You can create amazing documents and presentations on your Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
And with iCloud, you can keep that work up to date across your Mac and all your iOS devices.
You don’t have to manage your documents in a complicated file system or remember to save
them to a special folder. Your documents — with all the latest edits — are stored in your apps,
so they automatically appear everywhere. iCloud is already built into apps
like Keynote, Pages and Numbers. It also works with other iCloud-enabled apps. So you can do
things like create a to-do list on your Mac and make edits to it on your iPhone. Start sketching on
your iPod touch and add the finishing touches on your iPad. Or start a game on your iPad and
pick it up at the same level on your iPod touch.
7.1.4 AOL Calendar
AOL Calendar feature is easy to use and faster to manage. The calendar feature helps you to
create events and to do’s. You can share your calendar with others and also subscribe to any
calendar that uses the iCal format.

You can view the same calendar with all your events and to-do’s on AOL Instant Messenger
(AIM) service for both instant messaging and email. Any registered user can access AOL Calendar.
Your calendars can be either private or public.
