Notes 7.1.11 Calendars Net
Calendars Net is a free interactive web calendar hosting service, where you and anyone you
choose can post events visible and printable by whomever you choose, or everyone. You can
post events that last for more than one day with text flowing across days or even weeks. You can
copy the calendar data to your own computer and edit your calendar offline.
Calendars Net is designed for webmasters who want to mix interactive calendars with their
websites. These calendars can be squeezed into your frames and can be shrinked to print on
virtually any size paper.

7.2 Exploring Online Scheduling Applications
Organising meetings is tough. But if there’s one thing worse than meetings, it’s playing email
tag to schedule them. Is your company still sending out mass emails to ask for preferred meeting
times? Switch to Web-based Scheduling application.
A few online applications are attempting to eliminate the headache of scheduling meetings.
And, unlike their proprietary older brothers, these new entrants into the scheduling market are
completely web-based.
Web applications let you pick a range of dates on a calendar and then notify your colleagues so
they can pick the times and dates that work for them. You then view the responses and you’re
done.
7.2.1 Jiffle
Jiffle is a web based service which aims to accelerate the process of scheduling meetings.
It makes scheduling appointments and meetings quick and simple.
Jiffle’s patent-pending technology allows users to selectively share their Outlook calendar with
their contacts and eliminate the time-consuming process required to set up meetings.
Users mark their available times in their Outlook calendar and share them with selected and
invited contacts. Contacts view the invitation, login to Jiffle and then choose their preferred
time slots from the ones that are assigned to them. An automated email is generated to inform
the subscriber of the meeting request, and the subscriber’s acceptance is followed by an automatic
confirmation email to both participants.
Jiffle is free for up to 10 meeting confirmations per month.
