Introduction
In previous unit, we dealt with the importance of customer satisfaction, their perception of
quality and service quality. We also discussed on customer feedback methods and customer
retention.
This unit will help you to understand employee involvement and their empowerment the
various sections and sub-sections will also summarize the suggestion system and performance
appraisal methods.
Employee involvement is one approach to improving quality and productivity. Its use is credited
for contributing to the success enjoyed by the Japanese in the world marketplace. Employee
involvement is not a replacement for management nor is it the final word in quality
improvement. It is a means to better meet the organization’s goals for quality and productivity
at all levels of an organization.
