          3.3 Summary

In this unit we familiarized ourselves with the meaning and nature of personnel
               administration.

Personnel administration with its ever increasing responsibilities has become an
               indispensable part of management.
There is a need for making personnel administration responsible for bringing about
innovative changes in the structure of organization, undertaking personnel research and
               conducting attitude surveys.

It is clear that no organization can afford to disregard the needs of its personnel. Every
organization has to keep its personnel satisfied.
Personnel are the means through which organizations develop. The evolution and growth
of personnel administration was highlighted in this unit.
The unit also discussed the human relations in personnel administration.
