          Self Assessment Notes

          Fill in the blanks:
          10. …………………… provide a very effective way to organize the objects you create with
               CorelDraw.

          11. When you delete a layer, you also delete all the …………………… on it.
          12. When you create a master layer, it moves to the …………………… page.

          7.6 Gradients

Gradients are also called fountain fills in CorelDraw. They can fill objects with a smooth transition
between two (or more) colors, and they come in various styles. Many commercial pieces of
artwork are created today that imitate the traditional airbrush (popular in the mid–20th century)
          by using fountain fills.

          7.6.1 Choose Fill Type

We can chose different fill types depending upon the requirement. They are illustrated below:

          Linear Fountain Fills

Linear fountain fills blend color from edge to edge. The samples to the left show a linear fill
from medium green to a light green. The lower sample shows a 45 degree rotation of the fill.
