Introduction
Event Management provides the basis for operational monitoring and control, service assurance,
service reporting and service improvement.
13.1 Monitoring and Controlling
Monitoring is about assessing what work has been completed for a event including costs, risks
and issues.
Controls usually relate to stages in events and are established to control the delivery of the
event products/outputs.
Event controls take two forms - event driven and time driven. Event driven means that the
control occurs because a specific event has taken place. Time driven controls are regular progress
feedbacks.
