There is an elephant in my village. The richest man of the village purchased it in the
Sonepur fair. The elephant is a very useful animal. During the rains, it very easily
takes us from one place to another. During those days even motor-cars cannot ply
along roads. But sometimes the elephant goes mad. Some days ago, the elephant named
Udayagiri of the President’s House went mad. So it had to be shot dead. The elephant
of my village has not gone mad so far.
